Versace graces Milano Residences celebration
CELEBRATING the success of its newest project, Century Properties and Versace, the world-renowned fashion-luxury label held an exclusive lifestyle exhibition and a social event that also sought to raise funds for Operation Smile Philippines.
Held at the Pacific Star Building in Makati City, the headquarters of Century Properties and the Milano Residences Showroom, the gathering was highlighted by the arrival of Santo Versace, president of Versace SpA, as guest of honor.
“I am here tonight to celebrate along with you the project created with Century Properties, of which I am particularly proud—Milano Residences,” Versace said in his speech.
“It is a project that will allow future inhabitants to really know and live the Versace lifestyle. Versace is not just one of the most famous fashion brands in the world, but is also universally recognized as the brand that since its birth has succeeded in combining fashion and art in an indissoluble way, which had never been done before. Art, beauty and charm belong to the Versace DNA. Over a decade of expertise in interior design projects has allowed us to gain a position of leadership among the fashion brands in the home department and create extraordinarily successful projects all over the world,” Versace added.
Displayed at the venue was the World of Versace at Milano Residences, a one-night-only lifestyle exhibit that showcased Versace furniture, home accents, timepieces, a mobile phone, fragrances and dresses. These items were flown from the Versace boutiques in Milan and Hong Kong and displayed exclusively at the event, together with the exquisite interior design themes as created by Versace Home especially for Milano Residences.
The event also highlighted Century Properties’ support for Operation Smile Philippines, a nonprofit organization that spearheads medical missions for indigent children with facial deformities. Century Properties Chairman Jose Antonio and Managing Director Robbie Antonio turned over a check donation of P250,000 to Operation Smile Philippines president and executive director Roberto Manzano. In addition, they pledged an additional P50,000 donation to Operation Smile for each Milano Residences unit sold during the cocktail event that evening.
“We are doing this in thanksgiving of the huge success of the project. The Milano Residences since its launch last January is close to 70 percent sold. This is attributed to the immense value that the project presents to both investors and end users. Milano has truly become not just synonymous with true luxury, but it further elevated our standards and consciousness of the essential art of luxury living,” said Antonio.
The Milano Residences event is one of Century Properties’ highlights for 2011, its 25th anniversary. The Philippine developer, whose track record in luxury projects includes the award-winning Essensa East Forbes in Manila (by Pei Cobb Freed and Partners) is collaborating with the interior designers of Versace Home to provide an exclusive design service for the apartments and public spaces of The Milano Residences.
With 52 floors, The Milano Residences is the first project interior designed by Versace Home in Southeast Asia. It is slated for completion in 2015.
The building’s architecture will complement Versace Home’s elegant interior design aesthetic, which will be evident in the grand lobby, hallways, lounge, library, pool garden and spa. Versace Home will also create interior inspirations that residents may adopt for their own units and they will also have the option to purchase Versace Home items.
The building is expected to have a total of 340 units with one- to three-bedroom configurations. Prime units in various sizes and layouts include The Penthouses, The Townhouses, and Italian-inspired units called The Loggias that feature private plunge pools—a first in a Makati condominium.
