From Paris Hilton to Donald Trump, Century Properties celebrity ties
Donald Trump's sons are in Manila for the launch of Century's Trump Tower Manila.
MANILA, Philippines – Century Properties is making waves in the local real estate industry with a publicity campaign no one among its competitors has done before.
The company is getting partners high on the A-list: before, it was Hollywood celebrity and hotel heiress Paris Hilton, now US real estate tycoon and television showman Donald Trump.
Trump’s sons are in Manila Tuesday, June 26, for the launch of Century’s new luxury residential development, which carries their name.
The Trumps helped break ground on the $150-million Trump TowerTM Manila, a 56-storey residential building in the sprawling business district of Makati City.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring the brand here to the Philippines, the country that has done so well as of late…
“We’re looking forward to rolling out a couple more,” said Donald Trump Jr.
That’s good news for Century, which helped its founder, Jose Antonio, land on the Forbes Magazine’s 40 richest list in the last two years.
Antonio, 64, chairs Meridien, Century Asia Corporation, luxury cars franchisee Prestige Cars Makati and transportation firm Philtranco Service Enterprises. He is also on the board of Penta Pacific Realty Corp. and Subic Air Charter Corporation.
Ties that bind
Wondering how the company forged ties with Paris Hilton and Donald Trump? Forbes credits one of Antonio’s son with making the international connections.
Robbie Antonio, 34, currently the head of the company’s Business Development, spent 5 years after grad in Stanford University developing the condominium “The Centurion” located in midtown Manhattan.
There he met met Richard Hilton, who introduced him to his daughter, Paris. Paris agreed to design the main amenity of Century’s Azure Urban Resort Residences — a beach club.
He was also introduced to Ivanka Trump, who had him meet her father, who then agreed to license his trade and family name to Century.
By the way, Paris signed with Donald Trump’s modeling agency, T Management, when she was 19 and starting her modeling career. Paris’ great-grand father is Conrad Hilton, founder of the Hilton hotels. – Rappler.com
